Our General Schedule

(This post may contain affiliate links. For more information, see my disclosure policy.)

Since we are just starting our homeschool year this week, this schedule will probably get tweaked 20 times before we settle into what works for us, but in general:

Monday

lunch
injections and pulmonary appointment for Miss Optimism every second week 1p.m.
tutoring for Miss Optimism & Snuggle Puppy 2 – 3:30 p.m.

Tuesday

piano lessons 9a.m.
homeschool 8a.m. – 11a.m.
lunch
gymnastics for Miss Optimism
speech therapy for Dancing Queen & Granola Girl
karate for Einstein 6 – 8p.m.

Wednesday

homeschool 8a.m. – 11a.m.
lunch
swimming lesson for everyone (except Granola Girl because of her broken arm) 2 – 4p.m.

Thursday

homeschool 8a.m. – 11a.m. except on days where there are art classes
art class 10 – 11:30a.m. (on those days homeschool will be from 8 – 9:30 and Noon – 1:30)
Orienteering classes for Einstein occasionally 10 a.m.
lunch
therapy for Dancing Queen

Friday***

relaxed homeschool schedule – catch up on anything not finished during the week and extras such as movies that correspond with what we were learning
field trips when available
other appointments (doctors, dentist, audiology, assessments, etc.)
getting together with other homeschoolers

***I have made a four day homeschool schedule and most days the “off” day will fall on Friday, but I also like the flexibility it gives me to substitute another day in cases when a great field trip comes up or we have an important appointment or illness or visitors.

  1. I still haven’t purchased half of what we need for this year and we are still finishing up stuff from last year……nevermind scheduling! Yours looks fantastic and I might steal an hour of your life sometime to get inspired!

  2. It’s that time again! Hope you have a wonderful year!

  3. Your schedule looks great. Your kids are getting some great classes.
    Blessings, Dawn

    • Thanks Dawn. We are fortunate that the community we live in offers homeschool classes for virtually everything. The hardest part is being sure not to sign up for too much!

  4. Thanks for sharing your days. We’re unschoolers in Australia and love hearing about other homeschoolers’ lives and meeting them as we travel!
