In my life this week…I went to the women’s Bible study at our church and was refreshed by it. There were a lot of appointments this week which was a scheduling challenge. One was a very positive meeting about how Dancing Queen is doing in her treatment program for trauma and attachment at the mid-way point in the first semester. It is encouraging to know that changes are happening and that all this hard work by her and by us will hopefully lead to healing.
In our homeschool this week…we did some van-schooling on the way to and from some of the appointments. In van-school, we practised opposites, grouping and categories and rhyming. As part of our Story of the World study on the Ottoman Turks, we made Turkish dancing bears.
We started a new curriculum this week and I am LOVING it! It’s one that I meant to start at the beginning of the year and didn’t buy in time and then was blessed to get a copy of at BEECH Retreat. I love it so much because anything that my kids are talking about later in the day and asking questions about hours later is a winner in my book!

Who Is God and Can I Really Know Him? Biblical Worldview of God and Truth |
I actually find myself looking forward to reading this to the kids again on Monday!
We went on a field trip to a pizza parlour on Thursday. According to Einstein, it was “the best and most delicious field trip ever”!
Places we’re going and people we’re seeing…We had our neighbours and their kids over for a fun games and appetizer night. Appointments included Fred’s doctor, Miss Optimism’s bi-weekly injections, Dancing Queen’s program, and a few others.
I’m praying for…a friend going through a very hard time, a friend struggling with physical limitations, direction and guidance for my life, and more hours in the day!

I’ve heard of that Who is God book before and have been interested. Given that you’re really liking it, I just went ahead and ordered it…hopefully we’ll enjoy it in our household, too! It should be here in the next week or two. Thanks for the review.
Hugs,
I think you’re going to love it. I am going to order the coloring books and maybe corresponding notebooks tomorrow because I can already tell that it will be a core tool for us. It is simple and profound at the same time. It’s also one that can be used with kids at multiple ages at the same time and that’s always something I look for. Let me know what you think of it!
I didn’t order the notebooks, but I did order three of the colouring books!
I’ll keep you posted on how we like it.
How fun that we both had field trips to a pizza place! My kids loved it and it was so good for us to have some learning opportunities outside of the house with our friends.
So thankful for the positive meeting regarding Dancing Queen’s treatment!!
We have loved Starting Points so, so SO much for worldview!!
That’s neat that you had a pizza field trip too!
What a fun field trip. I am glad you all had a good report for your dd. I know that gives you hope.
Blessings, Dawn
Hope is what it really comes down to. I was even telling them at the meeting that the biggest difference this program has made in our lives is hope. I now have hope that she will someday heal. It’s made a huge difference in my attitude even.
Van schooling! I love it. And who thought of a field trip to the pizza parlor. That is a great idea. I hope you’ll consider adding this to my end of the week link up, Its a Wrap.
